We’re here to help

When we first set out to add online therapy options to our own practice, we were blown away by the amount of research and hard work that was required in order to provide high-quality, ethical TeleMental Health (TMH) services. Our extensive and ongoing research in the field of TeleMental Health has had massive impacts on the growth of our own practice, United Counseling & Wellness, and we want to share our knowledge and experience with others. We have seen firsthand the desperation of clients that have been searching for quality therapy that is also accessible, flexible and secure. We believe that there are countless clients in need and the only way to meet this incredible demand is to help other therapists provide these services.

Through developing our own online therapy practice, we have found ourselves positioned as a resource in the world of TeleMental Health. Along with two of our colleagues, we created a daylong institute and multiple forums about online therapy for the annual AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy) Conferences. We are actively involved in online case conceptualization groups, in the leadership of AAMFT's Telehealth and Technology Topical Interest Group, and we consulted on the design of a video platform for a well-known practice management system. We were humbled when Family Therapy Magazine featured our article “Online Therapy: Shaping the Future of Our Field” in their March/April 2019 issue and we feel honored to have been featured on many of our favorite podcasts including: Selling the Couch, The AAMFT Podcast, and The Online Counseling Podcast.

We’re energized and enthusiastic about providing high-quality, ethical online therapy and we feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to help others do the same.
